Do you dream sometimes to perform a WOD in the middle of a stadium where you are swept up by the audience and the whole entourage? That you feel your lungs and your muscles burn but still go on willpower, after which you feel the king / queen of the tournament afterwards?

Unfortunately then the alarm goes … Such a tournament is not reserved for you, because you do not belong to the small percentage “Elite”. You are not the best but you feel great and Crossfit is great. It is not your motivation, but others are just better, stronger, fitter, bigger. You also have no experience with top tournaments, but it seems like an ultimate experience to experience that feeling.

That is now possible at The Dutch Throwdown! The tournament is open to everyone who does Crossfit, regardless of your level. However, if you have previously qualified for a major tournament, you will be excluded from participation.



This year we’re switching thing up a little! We have The Young Dutch Throwdown supervised by Burpee! From 6 to 8 years and 8 to 12 years.

We’re going to work in age categories of 5 years, and possibly each category will have 3 divisions: scaled, advanced and RX (except the teens, they will have 1 division).

17 t/m 20 (1 division M/F)


Regular Throwdown M/F Scaled, Advanced en RX

21 t/m 25   26 t/m 30 31 t/m 35, 36 t/m 40, 41 t/m 45, 46 t/m 50, 51 t/m 55, 56 t/m 60, 61 t/m 100

If you’re birthday is before 15 Februari 2019, you will belong to that age category.

The competition consists of a qualifier and 1 live final; the categories and divisions will be divided.




Gescalede WODs met o.a. single unders, ring rows en een max. gewicht van 40/25 kg.



Benchmark WODs tot en met een max. gewicht van 60/40 kg.
